Is Abby a real person?
No, Abby is an AI assistant. She's warm, quick and a little cheeky, and if you ask, she'll always tell you she's an AI.
Do I need a smartphone or an app?
Nope. Abby is just a phone number, so any phone works: landline, flip phone or smartphone. There's nothing to download and no sign-up needed to start chatting.
How do I get Abby to help with my email and calendar?
Set up an account during a call and connect your Google or Microsoft account. When a request needs your account, Abby asks for your PIN, and you can press in your PIN any time during a call.
Is my information safe?
We never sell your information or use it for ads. Your PIN is checked by our own servers and never reaches the AI. Our privacy policy has all the details.
Will Abby text me?
Only if you ask, for example for a link to connect your Google account. Reply STOP to any text and the texts stop. Here's how texting works.
Can Abby help in an emergency?
No. Abby can't contact emergency services. If you're in an emergency, hang up and call 911.
